Adoption Series

Have you ever wished you could adopt a gorilla? Perhaps a rhino? While being awesome, it would come with quite a few issues! This Adoption Series gives you the opportunity to adopt a choice of 12 species, and I can guarantee they won't cause carnage to your home. Instead, your chosen species will hang out quietly in whichever room you choose, adorning your walls, keeping you company and adding that wild vibe without the hassle!

What's more, by adopting one of the following species, 10% of profits will go to helping their friends out in the wild. You will also have the option of receiving an adoption pack and information throughout the year about how your adoption has been helping.

If you would like to know more or enquire about adopting one of these species please use the contact form below or email me directly at kj.mitchell90@gmail.com.

Alternatively, there are very limited edition prints available here.

Polar bears depend on the Arctic ice to hunt and raise their young, but that ice is disappearing at an alarming rate. Climate change, oil exploration and human interactions are all fueling a decline in polar bear numbers. By adopting this polar bear your donation will help monitor numbers, maintain a healthy Arctic environment and raise awareness of climate change threats.

The current pandemic not only affects us humans but mountain gorillas are also susceptible with ecotourism being temporarily suspended to help mitigate exposure. Other threats to mountain gorilla include snares and habitat loss. Your donation will help protect their forests, train people to detect and remove snares, as well as improve management of their habitats.

Penguins are fighting against climate change as their Antarctic environment is melting. Threats such as unseasonal temperatures, sea ice loss and lack of krill (also from over-fishing) also make life that little bit more difficult for these adorable wee animals. By adopting the four wee King Penguins above, you will help improve the management and sustainability of Antarctica's resources and fishing practices, as well as help establish a network of marine protected areas across the Southern Ocean.

Snow leopards live in very remote areas of the Himalayas and Central Asia, yet these environments are shared with local communities. Over-grazing of livestock has decreased the snow leopard's natural prey and as a result they are being killed when encroaching on these livestock. Your donation will go toward helping these communities improve their management of pastureland, promote sustainable use of natural resources and reduce snow leopard - human contact.

A Poaching

A Poaching

Rhino have long been poached for their horns which are believed to have medicinal benefits and as a symbol of wealth in some cultures. Nobody needs a rhino horn other than the rhino itself and conservation strategies have been put in place to protect these gentle giants. Your donation will further aid the efforts to catch and prosecute organised smugglers, as well as support vital conservation work and anti-poaching measures throughout their key ranges.

Eye on the Tiger

Not only is their habitat shrinking, but tigers are also being hunted for their skin and bones for use in luxury products. This senseless killing has meant that tiger populations have declined by around 95% since the beginning of the 20th century. Reduced habitat also means more human-tiger interaction which can often lead to conflict. Your donation will help to restore areas of habitat and strengthen anti-poaching patrols in and around these areas.

Found only on two islands, Sumatra and Borneo, Orangutan spend the majority of their lives up the trees swinging between branches and foraging for fruit. However, these forests they call home are being destroyed and replaced with palm oil plantations. This is something found in nearly 50% of products in the supermarket. Further to habitat destruction, young are often sought after for the illegal pet trade. Your donation will aid in creating protected areas of forest and promoting and educating on the sustainable use and manufacture of palm oil.
