I grew up on a small section with a few sheep, and one of those was the old ram, a tame South Suffolk who had a great friendship with my dog, and a penchant for head butting my dad.

The naming of this painting is an ode to him, called Ram-a-Tam, but it depicts a merino ram which are prevalent in the high country of New Zealand's South Island where I currently reside.

This work is acrylic on canvas, 18x18"and a 1.5" deep, black edged canvas.
